The weather has been so beautiful that I decided to have a garden party .. So I invited some good friends ... asked them to wear white ..and made a bunch of food.
I used mint and a couple of white flowers as a centerpiece.
I covered a wire lampshade to cover the sandwiches and now it's on my lamp in the living room. :^)
I also filled tea pots with "flower pens" to give as part of my hostess gifts.
It was such a treat for me to spend time with friends that I don't get to see often enough. ... I'm sure I'll do it again soon. :^)
Look's like everyone had a great time Betty! I like the idea with the vintage lampshade. Have a great 4TH! Julian
ReplyDeleteHi Betty, the wire stand in my header is actually a victorian plant stand, which I think can be seen further down my blog. You know you probably could copy it using old fencing, maybe. I'm sure you're more creative than I for doing that but it might work. Copy away, hope it works. Happy 4th and thanks for stopping by, Theresa BTW, I haven't been to a garden party in forever. Sounds like you had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteBetty, Your garden party looks and sounds as if you and your lady friends had a mah-vah-lous time!! How fun. And your yard was completely ready for it since you had your garden shin-dig last month. Love the lampshade covered with lace and all that yellow! Oh, and your seventy-five cent bargain for the kids tea set in your latest post is a real coup! xo Sue
ReplyDeleteOh your tea party looks like fun ... especially with you all dressed in white.
